Cleanroom Design & Build Projects – March 2021

Spring has arrived and a number of exciting cleanroom projects are underway at Connect 2 Cleanrooms, including two projects for prestigious training academies.

The commissioning and qualification of a GMP manufacturing facility for Cell & Gene Therapy is being completed following a 9-month process. This construction project has completely transformed a 2-storey building to allow our client to meet the challenges of emerging new technologies and to respond to anticipated increases in demand. We’ll be sharing more details on this state-of-the-art facility over the coming weeks. Watch this space as it is not to be missed.

As this flagship project draws to a close, another begins. A cleanroom construction project for a London university is currently in the design stage. The ISO 14644-1 Class 6 Tissue Cell Culture Suite will allow students to train within a GMP-ready environment. Working to the latest BIM standards, we are currently engineering solutions to some unique challenges involving the Central London location and the Grade II listed building it is being housed in.

We have also been appointed to deliver a 100m² ISO 14644-1 Class 5 and 7 cleanroom in Finland for the manufacture and assembly of Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) components for semiconductor processes. The design includes a visitor area to allow external customers and auditors to oversee production in the cleanroom.

We are currently installing a GMP facility for an equine vet which will be used to increase their embryo success rate within the reproductive clinic and a March install is also going ahead for an injection moulding client. This ISO 14644-1 Class 7 cleanroom is phase 1 of a complete factory floor upgrade, that has helped our client win new business.
