It’s been another incredibly busy month for the team here at Angstrom Technology & Cleanroomshop with an award win (and another to follow very soon!), many new projects underway, our brand-new Tree Planting Initiative and exciting trips for the team!
Recent Projects
Cleanroom Design & Build
Sector: Biotechnology
Cleanroom features: Hardwall, ISO class 8 cleanroom measuring approximately 30m2. Technical consultancy was also provided throughout this project.
Remedial Work & Consultancy
Sector: Veterinary
Work completed: Site surveys and consultancy have been completed in preparation for remedial work and requalification to commence of an existing cleanroom facility.
Cleanroom Design & Build
Sector: Aerospace
Cleanroom features: Two ISO class 7 cleanroom facilities, one measuring 32m2 and the other 90m2. Technical consultancy was also provided throughout this project.
Cleanroom Validation
Sector: Manufacturing
Work completed: The team recently validated an ISO class 6 hardwall cleanroom facility.
HEPA Filter Replacement
Sector: Veterinary
Work completed: HEPA filters were replaced by the team on this ISO class 5 and 7 cleanroom facility, which includes one room with two zones.
HEPA Filter Replacement and Cleanroom Validation
Sector: Aerospace
Work completed: Validation has been carried out, along with HEPA filter replacement, for a Monobloc 67m2 ISO class 7 and 8 two-zone cleanroom facility, including airflow and filter integrity testing.
Team MHRA Visit
Members of our dedicated Cleanroomshop team recently headed down to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) for an engaging and informative day, meeting delegates and discussing their cleanroom consumable needs, with a special focus on GMP products.
It was an absolute pleasure to gain insight into how their processes work as well as having the opportunity to showcase the range of products and services Cleanroomshop has to offer. We had the privilege of taking a brand new AeroTrak A100 particle counter with us and demonstrating how to use it as well as its numerous benefits.
One of the highlights for us was demonstrating the importance of proper hand hygiene using a UV torch and glow gel, which was really well received and is always a preferred practical during our EU GMP Training Courses! We were also lucky enough to be joined by one of our industry partners, DuPont, who were able to lend their support and advice when it came to choosing the most appropriate protective clothing and cleanroom garments. A big thank you to everyone who participated in making this day a huge success and we hope that the people who came to see us found it as fun and educational as we did!

Cleanroomshop Tree Planting Initiative
We are extremely proud to announce that for every single Cleanroomshop Service Level Agreement (SLA) signed or renewed with us, we commit to planting 10 trees.

340m2 Solid-State Battery Production Cleanroom for Ilika plc
The Angstrom Technology team have completed a new cleanroom facility for Ilika PLC, achieving ISO 14644-1:2015 classes, 6, 7 or 8, according to the sensitivity of the process.
This project was designed and built in 6 months, with 8 zones including a process-built layout with 3 process areas and 5 ancillary zones.
