Stand-down to focus on site safety

On every cleanroom design and build project, safety is our number one priority. Earlier this week, a live project had a safety-stand-down to reset, refresh, and restart our on-site safety protocols. The 5800m² cleanroom project had reached approximately the halfway point, so we regrouped to ensure our safety plans were followed by all.

Site safety-stand-downs are industry best practice on projects of this magnitude and the voluntary events allow time for operatives to take a break from construction and talk about site safety.

Almost 100 contractors and operatives participated and the order of the day featured group audits and three Toolbox Talks— Working at Height, Housekeeping, and Working Platforms—followed by a full site clean-up.

Work on site recommenced at noon. The day was a great success and was complimented by our client and the Principal Contractor.

We operate to ISO 45001 Health and Safety Management standards and on this project alone, we’ve achieved over 28,000 total person hours without accidents. Our team’s safety is paramount, as well as creating a tidy working environment we are proud of in all areas of our business—from the offices, warehouse, sites, and vehicles.
