Grade 304 Stainless Steel
Grade 304 Stainless Steel has an approximate composition – 18% chromium, 8% nickel (exact composition ranges vary between EN and ASTM standards).
This grade combines the following characteristics:
- Good corrosion resistance
- Good weldability
- Excellent ductility giving stretch formability in pressings
- Hygienic surfaces
Materials should always be assessed against individual requirements and risk assessments before being introduced to a cleanroom.
