Connect 2 Cleanrooms' year in 2022
Connect 2 Cleanrooms has had an exciting year, delivering integrated cleanroom services to a global customer base.
The year started with a bang as C2C joined the Angstrom Technology Group in January, then Specific Environments joined them soon after. The Angstrom group forms the largest cleanroom construction organisation globally, with invaluable internal expertise in specialist areas such as BIM methodology, GMP, and dry rooms.
C2C supported the global biopharma industry with 6,000m² cleanrooms in Cardiff, Wales. The first of three phases was designed and constructed in just nine months. A live social media broadcast celebrated this project opening and attracted tens of thousands of viewers worldwide.
At the same time, a consortium appointed C2C to deliver a cleanroom in Sunderland as part of an £18 million project to develop and scale production of the future generation of electric vehicle batteries.
As well as welcoming new clients, C2C has seen the return of many longstanding clients. Research laboratories, global healthcare companies, and injection moulders are just a few organisations that have returned to C2C for new cleanrooms, cleanroom extensions, and cleanroom relocations.

In June, C2C appointed Nicola Coull as its new Managing Director and Oliver Barker as its Commercial Director. At the end of 2022, C2C is saying a fond farewell to its Founder and CEO, Joe Govier, who is going on to spend more time with his family and explore some personal passions. Joe leaves the company in good hands, as in November, we welcomed Tom Chowaniec — who has 30 years of professional experience and led Global sales and service teams at GE Healthcare, Cardinal Health, and Leica Microsystems — as our Global CEO.
C2C has been appointed to deliver several exciting projects in the UK, Europe, and the USA in 2023. With projects valued over £40 million already underway, the group is excited to hit the ground running in 2023!
