CPD-certified ISO Cleanroom Training Day held for our Cleanroomshop suppliers
Recently in November, a selection of Cleanroomshop suppliers were welcomed to the Angstrom Technology Lancaster office from Bolton, Swindon & Merseyside, for an ISO Cleanroom training day.
The aim of the day was to educate delegates on cleanroom best practices and how cleanroom furniture design could be improved to assist in the cleaning process.
Cleanroomshop Supplier Training Day
Recently in November, a selection of Cleanroomshop suppliers were welcomed to the Angstrom Technology Lancaster office from Bolton, Swindon & Merseyside, for an ISO Cleanroom training day.
The CPD-certified training day is a great opportunity to demonstrate cleanroom best practices and includes modules such as surface cleaning and hand hygiene. This was beneficial for delegates to understand how current furniture designs could be improved to assist the cleaning process, resulting in even cleaner environments.
Surface Cleaning
Cleaning at home versus cleaning in a cleanroom environment is fundamentally the same but with higher levels of skill and care. At home, you may clean a surface with a cloth and wipe it until it’s visibly clean. You may then use a disinfectant spray to kill any germs; this is known as a two-stage process. First, you clean away the dirt (non-viable contamination), then disinfect the germs (viable contamination).
In a cleanroom environment, surfaces are wiped methodically in straight lines, and each side of the wipe is used only once to prevent the spread of contamination. Our Cleanroom Training days explain how to select suitable agents and when to use them, and attendees of our most recent November training day found this area of the course to be extremely beneficial, especially through the practical demonstrations.
Why is hand hygiene important?
Many people prioritise washing their palms when washing their hands, even though fingertips are the part of the hand most used. Under the nail and around the cuticle are hotspots for harbouring germs and collecting particles, and nothing demonstrates this risk better than the UV torch we use in our practical handwash demos.
When delegates see how stubbornly dirt can cling to certain areas of their hands, handwashing is never the same again, in turn meaning it becomes a skilled and thorough task. Again, this was an effective demonstration to show attendees, backed up with the theoretical aspect of the course.
Schedule a training day with us
Other topics included within the ISO Cleanroom Training course are gowning, materials transfer, rotational cleaning, and cleanroom standards. Intended for anyone who wants to improve their skills and works within or manages an ISO cleanroom environment, our training days are designed for people with varying levels of experience and knowledge.
The team and delegates had a fantastic day of collaborative training, developing best practice effective strategies to ensure Cleanroomshop furniture is manufactured to the highest standards, improving cleanroom performance for our valued customers.
